Artifacts

In our museum’s artifact collection you can find anything from furniture and farming tools to underwear and school supplies.

We collect these artifacts in order to document, conserve and preserve material knowledge of Norwegian emigration, return migration, and immigration. The objects can be used for research purposes or put on display in an exhibition.

Online collection

We are constantly working to revise, register and photograph our collections. An ever increasing number of these objects is becoming available and searchable on Norway's Digital Museum.
