Help Keep the Story of Norwegian Emigration Alive

Every journey has a story. Help us preserve yours.

Your generosity helps Anno Norwegian Emigrant Museum preserve the stories of Norwegian emigrants and strengthen the bonds between Norway and North America.

For millions of Americans, the story of Norwegian emigration is also a family story — one of courage, hope, new beginnings, and the search for belonging.

At Anno Norwegian Emigrant Museum, we preserve and share the stories of those who left Norway for a new life in North America. Through exhibitions, historical research, and educational programs, we bring these journeys to life and explore the lasting connections between Norway and the United States.

Your support helps keep these stories alive for future generations.

By making a donation, you help us preserve our shared heritage, uncover untold stories, and inspire new generations to discover the history that connects us across the Atlantic.

Whether your ancestors came from Norway or you simply believe in the importance of preserving our shared history, you can make a difference.

Museum ownership

In 1992 the non-profit foundation The Norwegian Emigrant Museum and Research Center was established to own and operate the museum. After the museum became a part of Anno Museum, this non-profit organisation has retained ownership of the Emigrant Museum's buildings and other assets.
