The Emigrant Museum creates exhibitions covering several aspects of emigration from Norway, and the life of Norwegian emigrants who settled in North America, Canada and other countries around the world.

From the exhibition "Signs of Origin"

Limited exhibition in 2024

Due to the refurbishing of our main building, the exhibition "Signs of Origin" will be taken down in late summer 2024. In 2025 we will be able to invite you to our new, permanent exhibition "Unknown Landscape".

In the meantime you are welcome to visit our open air museum.
